Sunday Scoop 11/9/14

Linking up for the first time with Teaching Trio for their Sunday Scoop!

So here's the "Scoop" on my day and week.....

Starting a fractions unit that is divided up with a week off for Thanksgiving is stressing me out!  So, you can tell that I'm trying to plan ahead.  Fun activities are a must that week before Thanksgiving because we all know that the kids (and me) will be antsy waiting for our 9 days off!

Have a great week!

  1. Aren't you lucky to have 9 days off for Thanksgiving! I love it (and my school has been doing it for 6 years:)
I think everyone has laundry to do on Sundays...
Have fun with you fractions unit!

  2. I am taking an extra day at Thanksgiving this year. I have laundry to do too. I try and save steam cleaning for summer and Christmas break, so good for you for going at it now.

    1. Well, it does help that only the bedrooms in my house are carpet! I can have them all done in an hour!

  4. Hi Anna!
I hear you on splitting a unit over Thanksgiving. I'm starting a place value unit with my 2nd graders this week. I hope the week of fractions goes well! :) You have some great products. I'll have to pass them on to my 4th and 5th grade teaching pals. :)

  5. I am intrigued by your "Fraction Thanksgiving Riddle Activity". :) If you decide to post that to TpT... PLEASE let me know! My kiddos love riddles and that sounds like it would be fun! I hope you had fun rock climbing. What a great activity to do as a youth group. Thank you for linking up with us and I hope you have a great week!
